Why teams stay in a tool they have outgrown
Nobody loves their old tool. They fear the move. Here is what it costs to stay, and how to leave without stopping work.
We get asked a lot how long a move takes. The honest answer: the move is an afternoon, and the fear of it is what costs years.
Staying has a price too
Every week in a tool that does not plan means someone plans by hand. Every tool that does not talk to the next one means someone copies. That someone is usually the most expensive person in the room.
€ per person a month
And after all that, the week is still planned, assigned and chased by a person – usually you.
Move in three steps, not one
- Bring everything over with one press, and look at it before anything is written.
- Open a bridge, so a change here goes there and a change there comes here.
- Close the old tool when nobody has opened it for a month.

The minutes and prices in the calculator are starting values. Change them to your own.
